Parent Partnership

At Little Larks Day Nursery & Pre-School we believe that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents and settings work together in partnership.

Our aim is to support parents as their children's first and most important educators by involving them in their children's education and in the full life of our setting.

We achieve this in a variety of ways:

  • Regular communication during handovers at the beginning and end of the day

  • Dedicated Key Person for every child

  • Daily diaries for babies with details of sleeps, meals/milk taken, nappy changes and activities during the day

  • Tapestry, our online learning journal which can be accessed anytime by unique user passwords

  • Monthly newsletters (copies can be found here)

  • Regular social media updates via Facebook & Instagram (we only include children who have permission)

  • Parents Evenings

  • Events such as afternoon tea, breakfasts, parties and 'show and tell'

  • Feedback questionnaires

  • Open door policy - we are always approachable, ready to listen and offer support

Here's what our parents say...

"Thank you all so very much for making Mena's settlings into nursery such a success.

It is a joy for us to see how much she has grown in confidence and how many new skills and abilities she has got already.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome from the very first day we walked in.

Well done all of you! :)"
