Welcome to Little Larks Day Nursery

Little Larks is a Private Day Nursery & Pre-school set in a beautiful countryside location near Nowton Park. We are registered for 70 children who are cared for by our team of highly experienced and qualified practitioners. We look after children from 3 months to 5 years old from 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year.

You can find us a short way off the A134, between Bury St Edmunds and Sicklesmere.  This makes us well situated to serve local villages such as Rougham, Lawshall and Great Whelnetham and is ideal for people travelling to and from Long Melford and Sudbury.

Our large, light and spacious nursery is full of age specific toys and resources for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers to help meet their individual needs and to promote their choice and independent learning.

We are fortunate to have large gardens and a great outdoor learning environment for children to explore.  Our rooms have free-flow access into the gardens where we have all the equipment needed for maximum play (and learning!). Children can investigate bugs in our ‘bug hotel’, play with textures and ingredients in our mud kitchen, climb trees or move and transport soil and stones in our construction site!  We often go out for walks to explore the footpaths around the nursery and the children love going to Nowton Park to say hello to the giant panda and feed the ducks!

Our onsite kitchen has a 5* food hygiene rating and children help to grow their own fruit and vegetables which are used by our chef to cook healthy snacks and meals every day.

 

At Little Larks we understand the importance of strong parent partnerships which has a positive impact on your child's learning and development. All children have a key person who will take responsibility for them and will develop a strong bond as they care for them and give them the reassurance they need to progress and develop.
